Good luck down there OFG.  We're finally getting a little of that damp/windy/cool weather here today, should maybe get the deer moving a bit more in the daytime to put on some fat.  Has been quite a bit warmer than normal in recent weeks, and even though most of the corn is down, just haven't seen many deer yet.  Suspect that's about to change.

The top 10 counties in terms of total antlered buck harvest 2013-14 season were: Northampton, 2,529; Halifax, 2,504; Bertie, 1,905; Wake, 1,717; Bladen, 1,680; Wilkes, 1,680; Franklin, 1,662; Duplin, 1,635 and Moore, 1,616, displacing four of the previous seasonís top counties (Bladen, Craven, Edgecombe and Pender).

More information at our NC Wildlife site.  There are PDF type files within this area showing numbers.  http://www.ncwildlife.org/Learning/Species/Mammals/Whitetail-Deer#6328483-species-profile

always seeing posts from hunters in that area with some nice bucks.

Good Luck.
