For those that know Kittery Trading Post, know you can pick up some great deals...in July I did just that...Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 Rem mag with a 10.5 inch barrel, all blue with wood grips...(not considering it for my go to carry gun)...just picked it up from my FFL today...can't wait to puts some lead down range with it...

TT - That is a hog of a weapon!!! Holy Cow/Hog...plan on putting a scope on it???

I know you are going to shoot the 240 gn ammo in it, but which brand.....you will have about 2 months to figure it out before hunting season, if you are planning to hunt with it??

I remember shooting a handgun very similar and it almost came out of my hands...I guess that is why I'm bought myself a couple of stainless 357 Blackhawks....still have them today....

Please post some pictures if you have them....

Love the Kittery Trading Post, I use to stop in there all the time when I was working up that way. LL Bean was always another frequent stop on those trips. Enjoy your new toy, hang on.  (*&^&%#

Bo, it's main use will be deer hunting and no scope (at least not yet)...not sure on what ammo yet but 240 gr sjhp or sjsp, will most likely get the yes vote...I like Magtech and Corbond for their consistency and price...no pics yet...

Gut, GF and I spent most of the afternoon (5-6 hours) just sight shopping...still didn't see it all...

now that's a pistol. don't poke out your eye when you pull it out of the holster. --099-780 19.5" barrel  is a handful. i think you will find a scope will make all the difference in the world w/ that gun

Nice purchase!! I have one and it is accurate and heavy shoulder hostler heavy. It will kill deer for sure I use Remington 240 grain soft point soft hollow points both will pass right through a deer and a broad side bear. 50 yds is my max without a scope. Good luck I have killed 2 deer and a hog with mine.
If it's brown it's down
