We have two red mulberry trees in our backyard, and when the berries are ripe, they are quite a draw for the critters.  We have had deer, turkeys, woodchucks, and cranes come in to feed on the berries during the day.  Raccoons seem to come in at night, they leave plenty of evidence for us to find the next day.  One time, we heard a commotion in the backyard, and it was a flock of turkeys flying up to the trees to get berries.  While they were moving around on the tree, they were knocking down berries and the turkeys that had stayed on the ground were going nuts, chasing the falling berries.  Another year, a group of hens and their broods consistently came in, over a period of over a month, and it was amazing to watch how fast the chicks were growing.

A hen with three poults came in today, to sample the mulberries.  They seemed to enjoy them, but didn't stay long.

That is a cool picture with the hummingbird in the foreground.  Glad to see the poults making it too!
