walleye dinner plus
« on: June 02, 2017, 10:12:54 PM »
the Croix has been good. thurs after work I got 15 and kept 5. today I went w/ my wife for 3 hours and got 7. I kept 2 and released a 20"

the river has a 15" minimum and no max. I just don't like to eat the bigger walleyes. they are the best breeders and aren't as good to eat IMO

at the end of today I told Brenda 'one more fish'. I got a tap tap tap like a perch. I set the hook and barely moved it. I figured it was a big smally. after a great fight and several good runs, I finally saw the biggest sheephead I've seen or caught. it must have been 5#. great way to end the day

weather permitting, i'll head out in the AM.

keep those lines tight

That's a good day on the water Yari, I haven't been able to wet a line since the ice season  @--0--0127. I have been pretty busy with work and kids activities and the wife bugging me enough to get going on finishing the basement.

i wish i could. we had storms all weekend and so far this week. plus nasty heat. dewpoint is 71 today. i worked on the driveway for 1 1/2 hours and was soaked. how do you southern folks deal with  this stuff?

hopefully, thursday will be a break from the lightning storms
