SD tag
« on: April 20, 2017, 05:12:54 PM »
my group was drawn for and 'any deer' tag this year. in other words, it someone wants to shoot a mulie, they can. the mulies aren't huge in this area, but another option is always good.

my buddy has this SD system down. i wish AZ was so generous

2 out state trips this year if all goes well. SD deer and SK goose/duck w/ my dad and his best buddy. SK will be good as these 2 aren't hunting much anymore. maybe this will rekindle interests. i hope so

not- i give all the credit to another member, but i will give you my 2 cents. you can do landowner tag or a general tag. if you don't get the landowner, you apply for the general. you can also apply for a bonus point for $10. so far, i've draw one of each in the last 2 years. it's taken 2 points to draw for each. it's the easiest draw i've ever done. if you don't have a landowner, there seems to be a lot of public land

bo- this is the same deal as last year. we pay the landowner for the use of his land and nice lodge. it's a self-guided hunt is the most open land i've hunted for deer. hopefully we get some cool weather this year.  the first 3-4 days were 70's last year. once it cooled, the bigger bucks got rolling
