Yep, we were out there hunting yotes and turkeys...yippie...Hopefully they will be completely through logging this week or next for sure...the birds are still there, and we just got to figure them out...we had 6 folks hunting on Opening day, actually 4 of hunters were experienced with 2 newbies to the sport...great to have them out there for the first time.....We all had a great time - Friday night cheese burgers and and Saturday night steaks...

Will head back down if Deerhead can make it. He was set to show up Saturday morning but a family emergency came up and he could not make it. Told him I would drive back down if he was interesting in spending a day or two chasing those birds in a few weeks....We have some great guys/hunters in our hunt club....

For the many years I went out West to Elk and Mule Deer hunt, I could have brought back many more elk, but after 3 - 5x5 and 4 - 4x4 decided on waiting for that one special bull to bring back. So for many years I passed on small to medium size Elk, had them in my scope but let them walk thinking that maybe next year they would be bigger.....but at least we were out there hunting....yep, mamma was right..... -0078

Split Toe and other TH members are in a fishing tourament this weekend and most of next week....hope well, know they are having fun out there....will get a report out of them next weekend...LOL...hope they all have a safe time out there.....  ^^&&$%GT
