Date Deer harvested - 10/13/16
Time Deer harvested - 12:15 p.m.
What state was the Deer harvested in - NC
Buck or Doe - Doe
Buck rack points - N/A
Was Deer harvested with a gun or a bow? MUZZLELOADER
Now, tell us the story.....

As many of you know I've had little time on here during the past year. With my youngest son having Brain Surgery December last year, everything in life changed and my focus became extremely narrow.

However, with everything being busy and little time on my hands it seemed, I managed a couple days to scout and one day to hunt last week.

I climbed into my stand just before daylight. My setup was on the back corner of a clear-cut about 30 yards inside the wood line. White Oak acorns are plentiful this year, but the sign pointed to a few trees in this area being favored.

I sat with little movement all mourning..... My wife texted me saying she had expected a pic of dinner by now, so I returned the text with a pic of a big cheeseburger....... she joked that she was expecting a different picture. Within minutes a doe appeared about 30 yards off to my left..... I slowly put away my phone and raised my muzzleloader... At 20 yards my shot was true and she fell immediately.

I immediately began reloading my muzzleloader....... which will lead me into entry number 2.....
