no fall food plots

yep with this drought here in new York I can't plant a fall food plot we are 6 plus inches low in water this will be a very interesting year to hunt

Not sure how many growing days you have left in your season Dave, but it might not hurt to get something sowed which can sit in the dirt for a bit while you wait for rain.  You could very well end up with a wet spell which then is too wet to allow you to get out & plant.  I'd be tempted to roll the dice.

no baiting in new York growing season ends a round oct 10 or so for planting it should be in first or middle of august

Maybe you can out in a late fall crop in Sept Dave they love Winter Greens.

I agree with Mad and Blue.  Scratch up the dirt and throw in a brassicas or cereal grain.
