Buckatash Food Plot 27 Aug 16
« on: August 29, 2016, 12:14:37 PM »
Got some Buckatash seeds from Snortweeze that I am trying out.  A little side venture he is attempting this year.
Always willing to help a fellow member of the Talkhunting family.

Plowed the Spring plot in, waited a week and Disc'ed it once.  Then 24 Aug did a final disc.  Wife was my 2nd man on the job.  We threw lime out and then she threw the seeds out.  Added some Purple Top Turnips, Collards, along with some misc Rape.  Always add that to whatever we plant, if the deer do not eat it, the wife does.  :D

Was worried about rain as we have had a high pressure over us for a week, wife took care of that, got a trace of rain a couple hours after planting and then 1/10 inch Sunday afternoon with more on the way. How did she get a tropical depression to form Sunday off the East Coast??!! LoL

PJ it must be nice to have a built in weather station living in the house, when you need rain you just holler into the kitchen - "Make it Rain"  @--0--0136

PJ - my Buckatash plot has really taken off nicely.  We've had decent rain since I sowed it, and it's filling in pretty well already.  If I remember correctly I put it in on Aug 7.

Here's a picture I took last Friday afternoon (26th) of Snort's Buckatash that I planted on Aug 7.

Looks great!

I have a bag of Snortweeze's Buckatash from my winnings at SB.  I hope it's not too late to plant
when we get in KY this November.                                      %^$^
