2017 LOTW
« on: July 22, 2016, 07:21:38 PM »
it's 95 degrees here today so we decided to book our 2017 LOTW ice trip. there are 6 of us this year so we reserved an 8 man sleeper. I can't remember the dimensions, but this thing is big. (he did build a monster 10 man this year) the place we rent from is called JEFF'S ISOMINIUMS and they are pretty nice for an ice shack.

it should be interesting w/ 2 newbies I've never met. i'm told both are stand-up guys. i'm a little gun shy after last year's tool. he was terrible and I made it clear he wasn't invited back. i'm sure it will be fun

at least we got to think about -20 degrees when it was 95 degrees today. FYI, i'll take -20 any day. I can always add more cloths. this fat layer stays with all year and I can't take it off. :-)

Sounds like a fun time...I've been ice fishing one time a few years back in Wisconsin about 2 1/2 hours north of Green Bay in a place called Minocqua (Up North). It was -28 degrees both days while I did catch fish and had a lot of fun so I can say been there done that...and I'll cross ice fishing off my bucket list...LOL

Have a safe and good time. I never ice fished. I always enjoyed its portrayal in the movie,  Grumpy Old Men. Closest I ever got to ice fishing was for humans while using my Stearns suit.  ##$%#13
