where is the best place to plant chinese chestnut trees

What kind of soil works best for them , sun or shade. I bought two Chinese chestnut trees at the BIG BUCK EXPO IN  LAKELAND FL, LAST WEEKEND. ,CANNOT GET BACK TO MY LEASE UNTIL SEPTEMBER SO I PLANTED THEM IN PLASTIC POTS WITH POTTING SOIL  WILL KEEP THEM WATERED AS IT HAS BEEN A FURNACE HERE IN FLA THIS SUMMER.
