...When your fishing small jigs for crappie and something "else" takes the bait. 
My buddy jim bought him a new boat last week. We took it out on its maiden voyage and decided to do some jig fishing at a bridge.  Borrowed his sons pole and did just fine with the old push button style.  Had fun catching several small crappie and this gal.

Nice bass. Those crappie jigs are always fun to use as you never know what you might catch. Looks like you guys had a fun time.

bass on crappie gear is a blast. they are tough enough on bass gear. you did well to keep him out of weeds
