Sounds like a good time for sure, I got in one evening of catfishing and caught a few small ones that were let to live for a bigger catch in the future. Hoping to get in some time over the weekend also. There weather here has not been conducive for fishing either.  ^^&&$%GT

went last night. it was a bluebird night. 6 saugers and 6 walleyes. only 2 of the saugers were keepers and 1 walleye. took 1 1/2 hours for 1st fish. once I found them it was a steady bite. only one 'non-target fish' and that was a rock bass. that was very odd. the river is full of rough fish.

I figure another meal or 2 in the feezer and it will be time for some smallies and musky. I hate not having a cushion of fish.

besides, I need to get ready for 10 hours a day of casting musky baits at LOTW. it's exactly 1 month away. my buddy called today to let me know he has been practicing. last year his found a lot of trees. I need to get my buddy his 1st 50" musky. last year he got his best walleye and northern. maybe this is his musky year

anyway, great night on the water. heat indexes of 100 this weekend so i'll not be fishing

A 50" musky that would be awesome...I know you can't wait for that trip. It's going to be 99 here this weekend. Fishing here is about done unless it's trout in the mountains or night fishing!
