merry christmas to the big 8
« on: December 31, 2015, 09:49:53 AM »
as I was at my dad's place opening presents, the dominant buck at my dad's place was having dinner 100 yards from the house w/ his girls. this is the guy I had at 80 yards gun season that walked next to the road and in the direction of some houses, so no ethical shot.
this is the 1st daytime pic since gun season. I have one more month to get him if he doesn't drop his antlers before then. several bucks have dropped here already

FYI. the time is off by 1 hour. windchill was -9 degrees this morning and we have several inches of snow on the ground. he should become more regular during daylight

He's a whopper alright. Now that bow season has ended you'll be seeing a lot more or him. It'd be so cool to find his shed in February.

City folk get to have all the fun.  :( Did you see the bear that got hit on 94? Mile marker 3!!! Laying in the median east bound side. YEP, that's in Hudson city limits I believe.

Well  @--0--0101 with BIG 8! If you want company shed hunting let me know.  @--0--0118 I'll send russcat!  --099-780 A Texan... In the snow... In February... In Wisconsin... That'd be a sight!!!

I just enlarged the pic and changed the contrast to look at the big 8, his is fine. He's got a great uniform rack with high tines. Good luck with him, he's a wall hanger. If you don't get him, he should be nicer next year.

no I haven't been that way. there are a few bears in Hudson. I have pics at my folks of boo boo. he should have been napping. I wonder if he was disturbed?

russ is always welcome. I fear he might not like WI in February. that thin TX blood might freeze
