Another day saved for the bull elk!  Looks like he took a bullet and maybe missed the boiler.

reintroduction of wolves was insane!!!!!!!!!! why didn't they have limited tags to manage the herd? food for people and big revenues for the DNR. wolves are beautiful critters, but not at the numbers they are. way too many. many folks had to close down guide services due to lack of elk and deer. fewer hunters= less revenue for businesses in the area. lots of resorts and taverns going out of business in WI. you all know how I feel about them. it's a huge waste of hunters resources

BTW. I've always heard wolves are sight hunters and seldom use their noise to track. that's why thicker cover is better for prey

glad to see the elk get away. it's so sad to watch an animal get killed by a wolf. they are one of the least efficient killers, often eating their prey while still alive.
