STRANGEST DOE I'VE EVER SEEN
« on: November 25, 2015, 07:12:46 PM »
at 4 pm I look in my folks 'bird sanctuary field' and see a doe w/ some nasty growth out of it's head. what the heck? that's a buck. the first buck of the season!!!!!!!!!!

I sat from 6 AM until 5 PM. didn't see anything until 4pm. it was the big 8 pt I posted a pic of(5 yr old) he was at a steady walk parallel to the main road. only 30 yards away from the road, 90-100 yards from me. I tried grunting him away from the road and the houses beyond him. there was no safe shot. after several stare downs w/ my grunt call, he continued on. he had no cares w/ dogs barking, cars, kids playing... he was on a mission somewhere. the odd thing is he was heading to open fields in broad daylight.

he looked pretty good on the hoof. it was just fun seeing a buck finally. out again in the AM before turkey. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE
