Rut in Wisconsin
« on: October 27, 2015, 03:02:04 PM »
The four previous days I had 9 buck sightings. Four of those sightings a buck was chasing a doe(s). On the way to work. I saw two bucks standing face to face about 8 yards apart. The rut is on Wisconsin. Be on alert when driving and may your aim be true. Remember: Aim small, miss small.

Its been a crazy week. October 29th from the same stand. I saw a buck mount a doe twice, another buck make a scrape then watched a buck make a rub and a doe leaving her scent at the scrape I watched the buck make an hour earlier. A couple of days later I watched three bucks chase 12 does in a field. I did see two shooter bucks and THE Shooter Buck but no shots.

that's crazy. it's still not happening up north. I still haven't seen a buck, much less and chasing. I did finally hear some sparring last night at about 8 PM. one more weekend before the guns blast. something needs to happen

good luck

I sat approx. 22 hours on Oct 30, Nov 2-3 and saw a total of 1 deer. He's in my freezer now. Just too darn hot that weekend, temps were in the high 60's. Lots and lots of standing corn around us yet. Too wet to get it off I guess. However one local farmer won't take his corn off until the week before the gun season "so the bowhunters don't shoot all the deer before gun season" (His words) For you guys heading out this weekend, it should be hoppin.
