Seeing a number of broods with hens here, seems like the young are still rather small for this time of year

The birds are definitely here in PA, I saw them almost every day last week, and there are lots of young birds running around. It was a very good hatch this year. Good luck to both of you.

Good luck with your hunt, DPD.  I have been seeing the same two hens and their brood of 9 chicks coming into the yard pretty much all summer.  they were here yesterday morning, and now it's hard to distinguish the chicks from the adult hens.  I would be out there if their schedule was a bit more regular.  Our fall turkey season is open until Nov 14.

Saturday is the opener (Oct 17th) but only for 2 weeks, we hade a bad hatch and numbers are down but I am seeing them on my cameras.  I haven't been able to check my cameras for over 2 weeks because my son-in-law has to use my truck but hopefully soon I'll have better info @--0--0117
