Two Nice Bucks... THEN
« on: August 25, 2015, 08:26:35 PM »
I was watching these two nice bucks grazing in my clover field tonight. See pic 1 either one would be a satisfying harvest. The one farthest out could even be a wall hanger. Then they both snapped to attention and for a change not because of me. About 40 yards North of them here comes Old GRANDDAD! Refer pic 2. He's a six year old I've been watching for the past few years. He's a solid beamed 9 pointer. The picture is a bit grainy because it was dusk. I had turned off the flash so they wouldn't spook. Even though you can still see the height of his G3's. He's about 2" outside the ears so around 20-21 inch spread. The distant one in pic 1 is a 4 year old 11 pointer with a spread of 24-25 inches. The velvet is just starting to dry up so it won't be long before they split up and start establishing territories.

Hey Dutch...I'm on my way up!  There are 3 of them so, you take 2 and I'll take one, ok?   Seriously, those are some beauties!!
Retired after 34 yrs. on Jacksonville (Fl.) Police Dept.  19 yrs. in patrol and last 15 yrs. in C.S.I.
Now I can hunt and go bass fishing anytime I want!  Started deer hunting in 2007 but, had many years as a teen hunting rabbits and squirrels.
