Turkey season 2015
« on: May 29, 2015, 08:52:39 AM »
Had a great 2015 season. We had our annual siblings turkey get together near Traverse City, MI this year where myself, three bothers and sister get together for a week of hunting, fishing, and golf.
We had a great time together. All three of my bothers got turkeys.
This year my son who is 26 and never hunted before decided he would like to try turkey hunting.
So when I returned from my trip he and I started.
Well the high light of my season was sun morning when I called in a nice Jake for him.
He made a good 40 yard shot and gave that Jake a dirt nap.
5 1/2" beard and 19 lbs. (big Jake).
I then went out on Memorial Day and got a nice Tom with my bow. So we ended up as a family, 5 hunters and 5 birds. The pic is of my son with his first turkey. But I bet it won't be his last.     @--0--0118
