First for DPD and his partner
« on: May 09, 2015, 07:01:03 AM »
Been working those jakes and hens all around   Partner and I watched a hen bred by a jake 70 yards out. She intercepted the jake before he got to us. Happened 1/2 hour ago. Hens still walking around. That was a first for me after over 40 years of Turk hunting

Never know what you might see in the outdoors! I tell people you can't see that kind of stuff sitting in front of a computer or with your thumbs going like a fan! Pretty cool indeed!

The good side of this is you are seeing birds, both hens and jakes. They have been very sparse around here. Seeing a few hens and hearing a couple of gobbles every now and then, just haven't been able to close the deal yet. We haven't given up on them yet. We have until the 30th of May to get it done in PA.
