Sons first handgun deer
« on: November 16, 2014, 01:56:25 PM »
My son, Andrew, got his first deer this morning with a 30-30 handgun. This doe came in to our ground blind and was about 10 feet away quartered away when he shot her. She only ran 30 yards maybe with a perfect heart shot. Now he is very happy since he has been lucky enough to get a deer with every legal weapon in Indiana.

Congrats to Andrew on his handgun deer.  Taking a deer with my RBH is one of my goals, but seems like when I take it out, the deer don't come in close enough, but do so when I leave it in the house.
