Nice buck, congrats. Good to see a little of the white stuff on the ground. It may be around for sometime this year. I guess you can call that the base coat.  --099-780

Nice job.I hope to be so lucky on Opening day this coming Saturday. But if not I sure enjoy being out there and at least seeing something.Last couple days out with the crossbow didn't see a thing.Except the mallards, geese in my swamp and blue jays cavorting around.

Thanks al.......lI could have had a doe at 7 this morning but the x-bow malfunctioned...and when I squeezed off the 20 yrd broadside shot....zip..nada ...nothing....had it happen last night as well and thought I'd fixed it...apparently not ..so that big old doe didn't leave with a body piercing...

Tomorrow is first of gun...trying to decide on the 243 or the shot gun for opening day...first time for rifles in this county...can I admit to being very afraid?...Bad enough I have been nearly hit 3 times with shot gun...the rifles toss them out in this hilly terrain much further....being just on the low side of hill crest...I get sky lined from above and below me...couple that with first time rifle hunters ##$%#12 :-\ So I made a rifle stand 20yrds from the road across from out drive...we own both sides off road.... that shoots to the inside of our place,,,there is a ridge on either side...thinking I can catch them moving past the end of garden  when the neighbors go out pushing them on us. I have up to 180 yard safe shot there.....and no one can shoot toward me because I have the road as a back drop..the property is 400 yrds deep.
