2 dandy bucks
« on: November 09, 2014, 01:01:15 PM »
I hunted around home Friday AM. saw a forky early and a 19" buck an hour later. he had no interest in my grunting and bleating. nice looking 3-4 year old

hunted 25-40mph winds at the cabin Friday PM and all day Saturday. never saw a deer. driving hunt this AM I saw a stud 1 mile from the cabin. huge neck and body and approx. 140" rack from the quick view I had.

1 more week for bowhunting. since I have FFS (FULL FREEZER SYNDROME) i'm going to be pretty picky. it's fun to finally see some good bucks

I normally don't hunt around here until late season. there are some good ones here. it's totally different hunting. lots of noise to filter. cars, buses, dogs... definitely not a wilderness experience, but it's still hunting

up north they are very few and far between. when one shows up though, it's normally a stud. not so much bone, but very thick bodied. 200 pounds aren't uncommon

just need to be in the right place at the right time.
