Tomorrow's strategy
« on: November 07, 2014, 10:16:00 AM »
With a full moon last nite what would be the best strategy tomorrow? Morning, midday, evening?? Hardwoods, young pines, clear cut, food plot, etc, etc??? Hunting with a crossbow in Alabama, no rut yet. Thanks!!

I hunted here in Western, NY with my crossbow yesterday morning and there was nothing moving. Later in the day, a friend walked the perimeter of the area we hunt and saw nothing but does and they were all bedded mid-day. I am going to try and see if they are moving about 2 pm this afternoon following a super full moon. We have rain changing to wet snow.

If I had all day I would hunt all day.  It's the time of year where bucks will move in the daylight.  Full moon usually favors mid day but if I had the time I would hunt all day any chance you get.  Let the land tell you where. Good luck!

As others have already said, just get out there.  Adjust location accordingly if need be.
