double licking branch/scrape
« on: November 02, 2014, 07:48:18 PM »
this is a crazy scrape. there are 6-7 bucks trying to remark it every day. the 2 fighting have been at it for weeks.

the pic w/ the 9 pt looking down at the very small buck is strange. I have 2 small 1 1/2 year olds that are the size of fawns on my place. one is a fork ant the other is a spike. they are dwarf deer. almost look like KEY DEER in FL. I think the winter was so hard on them they never grew. it will be interesting to see if they can recover and reach normal size. at this point, I doubt it

May as well go get yourself one of those fighters before they get locked up out in the woods & become wolf fodder!

the 9 pt is the biggest on the place so far. the smaller 10 w/ split G2's could really be nice in another couple years if he can stays alive.

these guys all get a pass this year along w/ the others on cam. I have a freezer full of bear so I can be picky. I doubt I will see anything that meets my goal up north this year unless an old swamp buck comes out of the woodwork. I will be hunting around home though and there could be some potential here
