Before bow season, I was seeing bucks everywhere. Now none, but does!  What's going on?

I would say they have left their summer pattern and have changed up getting ready for the rut. Time to change location but if you find the does the buck will soon follow.... @--0--0101

Here in Eastern NC.  Corn is being picked and Acorns are falling.    ##$%#111

They have food everywhere right now, no need to travel far.  Also had the Hunter's moon this week,  could see just like daylight with the clear skies.

It's called the October lull.  They're laying low for a couple of weeks until their hormones tell them it's time to start looking for does.

Aaron hit this on the head. The lull is in full swing right now. It's the transition of the pre rut. But it's going to get crazy on 2 weeks

Same here in Western Maryland. See bucks everywhere on the cameras until the first week of September. Happens every year. Acorns have beenf alling and the local farmers haven't cut their corn yet so they are around. I saw one single buck and three still running together a week ago. They were in the thick briar bushes and thicker laurel where it so thick you can't even walk through it! They know where to hide!

If you are seeing does then it won't be long until the bucks show up.
