Texas Archery Opens in the Morning
« on: September 26, 2014, 02:01:23 PM »
Well the season finally kicks off here in the morning. Seems like forever, but its that time again. I have a family Reunion this weekend, I'm cooking Brisket  for 80 , so I'm out for the opener. A lot of family I have not seen in years, are coming. My Mother has threatened everyone in the family tree if there not here she is coming after them LOL.. So its should be a crowd.. Wishing all my Neighbors and others a great opener.. Going to be a little warm, but its the getting out there and opening the season that we all enjoy.. Be there next weekend for sure..

Have fun with the family reunion.

I have plans too.  I can't hunt at all this weekend. But to be honest I don't care too when it's this hot.

Good luck to everyone in all states this season. Let the fun begin!

Good Luck both of you when you get the chance to make it out.  Our season opens the first of Oct, and I should be there for a night stand on the 3rd.  Be safe.

Off topic here.  But yea I  smoked 8 briskets 10 chickens and 25 lbs of sausage. There was not a slice of any of it left. I was up for 2 days cooking. I can finally go to bed now and get ready for next weeks bow season. Looks like rain and cooler anyway.

Whew that's a lot of cooking.  Ya I got your invite but sorry I had to miss! Lol

I'm off to Lake Texoma for a day on the pontoon with the family.  85 and calm today.  May drop a few slabs for some stripper while we are at it.  Time for some time on the water.

Next weekend the hunt is on !
