Finally saw bloody but almost velvet free racks on three 6 pointers in a field yesterday afternoon and their necks are starting to build up.  They did not seem to be bothered by each other being so close and were gorging on soy beans.

Coming home from a friends last night my headlights shown over a large bean field while I was at a stop sign........Bucks everywhere so they are still all "buddies".  They were all is various stages of rubbing off that velvet........the real youngsters (spikes and forks) were all still in heavy velvet and the bigger boys were for the most part clean antlered, but could tell some had just rubbed the last of it off.  And the ladies, were ALL unimpressed!
