Nice.

I usually do not actively hunt turkey in the fall but there are a lot in my area and I always have a tag just in case one wanders in front of my deer stand.

I have a hen that has been hanging around my stand since last fall. Although tempted, I will let her be. Hopefully, she will hatch some Toms. The foxes in my place have not gotten her.

I see a lot if hens over the past fall seasons but never a Tom so I won't get a permit.

Good luck on your spot!

D.E.C.A.L.S. would not spit out turkeys tags first go around.  Felt as though it was telling me something.  Our numbers are way down again this season. Fear for the bearded hen and the few jakes I have on video.

Several hundred acres of habitat. Have many plantings that invite them here, that seems to be working. That bearded hen is a first here. Her size fooled me at first, thinking she was a jake. Actually after watching the footage is when I realized she was a hen. Her beard has got to go seven inches.
