Bucks acting up already
« on: July 30, 2014, 10:49:00 AM »
Got these off my trail cam today.

1st was taken 28 July at 5:54 PM
2nd-4th were taken 30 July between 8:45 AM and 8:99 AM (note that 3rd and th are in my reply)\

Definitely an aggressive buck there.    I had several more in the sequence, but these were the best in my opinion

That will be fun keeping up with those fellows until the hunt begins. Looks like a nice spot, keep us updated on new pictures as they grow a little more.

As near as I can tell they are all still in velvet which is why the friskiness surprised me, at least the only buck I have seen in person was still in velvet, but from the photos I'm not sure these two are in velvet.  Like you say, it is hard to tell in these photos. It seems like they should be in velvet for another month or so

they are a bit more active here as the temps have dropped the last week...we have had rain off and on as well...wanting to get my wintergreens and ttt in but not quite dry enough.
hopefully those bucks stick around for you to watch until season

Nice! Beautiful property too. Is that your house back in the tree line ( about 9 o'clock ) in the picture?
