Watched the hens fly from the trees. Talked to one Gobbler but he hung 150 yards away.
"May the beams be long and strong and the tips of the tines touch the sky" -  rvh (c)

Genesis 10:8-10 Cush fathered Nimrod; he was the first on earth to be a mighty man. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord. Therefore it is said, ôLike Nimrod a mighty hunter before the Lord."

Great photo.  reminds me of a time I went hunting at a friend's property.  I found a place to sit, facing east, and as the sun started to rise, the sky slowly turned from dark to almost glowing orange for a few short minutes.  It was amazing, I had never seen a sunrise like that one.  Didn't get a deer, but did find a warm gut pile where a poacher did his dirty deed.  It was bow season, and I heard two shots, very close.  I looked around and found two spent 3" shells.
