I'm going to venture a guess that it's a buck whose antler bases haven't healed over quite yet after losing last year's growth.  I really can't tell though with any certainty - it was getting pretty fuzzy by the time I blew it up far enough to see any details there.

I can't tell either. But that one behind him looks like an old fella.

Sorry I tried to enlarge and show just him but...oopppsss any ways on my end it shows the bumps to be wedged shaped not round...some years ago Mr B had a buck with 12 in daggers punch a whole through his truck just behind the drivers seat....he had run head long into the side of the truck breaking his neck, about 2 miles from the house. Well the bucks rack was also very elongated at the bases and then tapered to two points like daggers or spear heads...Very strange looking.
Your right , I never noticed he does look old...and with droopy eyes too...we have some big boys not even starting their racks yet. How does that go? older deer start later...or just depends on who dropped when?

I'm guessing the stress of the long cold winter may have something to do with them starting a bit late.  Mother Nature has a way of making adjustments to be sure the most important needs (like survival) are met first.  Have not seen any evidence of bucks around here yet to give you any sort of comparison.
