Anyone use these decoys? Seem expensive but get high ratings on many 'net forums. I am thinking maybe just one, can't get the flock set up. I found I get more Toms to come into gens. Jakes or Tom decoys just hangs them up.

They are worth every penny and then some,  I didn't get a chance to hunt last year but the year before that I did quite a bit and I won't hunt behind anything else after what I witnessed.  Between a friend and me, we shot 9 birds in maybe 6 hunts.  could have shot 10 in 5 hunts but we were unsure of some regulations when we did it.  Did i mention we did it all with archery equipment?  furthest shot on a tom was 52 yards and the only reason it was that far is because we had already shot 3 birds at the decoys that sit! hunt one was one dead bird and one wounded one, I pulled down as I shot so it was my fault,  he was right at 10 yards.  next hunt was another single as we took turns shooting,  third hunt was a quadruple, fourth hunt was a double, could have easily been another quadruple.  and the last one was a single.  there was one hunt where we didn't shoot one but that was because the birds weren't having the decoys in the morning and were dead set on going somewhere,  still almost 50 birds paraded by us at 20 yards.  paint job on the decoys is lifetime warranty too so you really never have to buy another set of decoys.  We used two hens, a feeder and an upright, but they paid more attention to the upright, and it wasn't the toms that were so focused on her as it was the other hens.  we literally had one hen peck at that decoy for 23 minutes, we got it all on film, and not a scratch was on the decoy.  Good luck and needless to say i highly recommend them @--0--0133

I bought one 4 years ago and I will never go back to the fold up decoys. It is worth every penny!! If a turkey can see it it's game on!! 2 yrs ago I had and big old dinosaur hen beat on mine for 15 mins I had to go run her off so she would chip my paint ;D No worries they are tough and have a lifetime warranty on the paint. I have never had a turkey, hen or gobbler act scared when they see it. It is a challenge to carry around but it's worth it. I highly recommend Dave Smith turkey decoys if you couldn't tell. --099-780

Today I had a choice. Stop by Best Buy to see what it would cost to upgrade my IPad3 64GB Wi-Fi/Verizon to iPad Air  with Wi-Fi/Verizon 128GB or drive to Cabelas to get the Dave Smith Decoys. I used my money in hand to buy the iPad Air and will trade this current iPad in next week to take the bill down. I got a better trade in offer at Best Buy than Apple a Store.

So, I will wait a bit but I will buy that newer DSD hen decoy later next month from Cableas.  ##$%#1118
