Radish,clover and ryegrass
« on: February 10, 2014, 09:10:38 AM »
I planted a mix from ProHarvest seed called the Indy mix this past August. It consist of radish, clover and ryegrass. The deer are hammering it right now. It is a great winter food source for them during this hard Illinois winter. Needless to say I will be planting the mix again this year. Attached is a pic of my plot where the deer have been digging to get to it. Note that it had snowed inch a couple hours earlier and the deer had not been there since the fresh snow, but you can tell where they have been digging.

Never planted any radish, but have had good luck with the clover and ryegrass.

My neighbor planted raddishes last fall and the deer just love them. He says that they even eat them as they spoil. And they stink bad when spoiled!! ##$%#12
