Hi Madgomer....I started planting food plots many years ago.I originally used Whitetail Institutes clover and it worked extremely well here.Unfortunately it became hard to buy up here and shipping it from the states got difficult. We switched to local food plot seeds with ok results but not near the growth. In the last few years we have once again been able to get WI products. My year round plots are Whitetail clover and Extreme(does very well in dry weather and lasts until oct. This was my first year with Wintergreens(three acres) and after a couple frosts they started eating some but after a hard freeze late Nov. they moved into our area and by mid dec. it was down to just stalks after being waste high.Keep in mind we don,t have the volume of deer up here that many areas in the USA have but they loved it.I have friends in the area that weren,t seeing many in the late season...go figure...they were bedding close to my plots. It isn,t the cheapest but in my mind it works and is worth it.....good luck with your new plantings.

Thanks Gander - I've got a couple of small plots to rework this year - I'll give some of that a try.  I've generally had great luck with the WI products too, but have not tried the winter greens yet.
