I'm not sure if these are even on the shelves yet, so I'm betting no one has experience with them.  Does anyone have thoughts on them?  Looks like a nice rifle for hog hunting and long-range home defense.

I like the looks of it.  Ruger makes nice guns, and I have always liked the .308 Win round, well not always, at least since 1971, when my Uncle Sam let me play with a M60 mg.

Aaron - You are probably right, I have only read about them in magazines and see it on their website...but since it is mill spec, then you shouldn't worry about it....go ahead and put your order in and give us a product review on it after you have used it for a year.....

Dave - you are right about New York and don't forget the other crazy states!!!
