I went into the local pro-shop this past Saturday to get a new bow sling for my Mathews DXT (you know the little, braided rope thingy that keeps you from dropping your bow) as the old one rotted apart on the leather.  My DXT was never a favorite but it has worked fine the last few years, even if it was absolutely unforgiving of my form failures after hours in a frozen tree.  So I was open to ditching the DXT and getting a new bow if one felt right.  Turns out one did.  For the heck of it, I shot a couple Elite bows and the new Mathews Creed and ended up doing an impulse purchase on the Creed.  No regrets.  Amazing bow, super quiet, super smooth, so calm in the hand at the shot and finally, a nice wall to draw into.  They really got it right with this one.   An amazing bow and I am back to being totally confident in my shooting again, like I was before I got that unforgiving DXT (which is now on consignment at the shop-good riddance!).

Looking forward to zapping my first deer with the Creed when Maryland's bow season opens in about a week and a half.  Gonna put Bucked Up on the leader board with it right quick!

If you are in the market for a new bow or are at least open to it in the back of your mind like I was, you might want to give the Creed a test drive.

BTW, where do they come up with all the goofy names for these bows anyway!

Chris.

Nice bow. I shot the creed the same day I bought my Chill. The only reason I went w/ the Chill was bc my draw length was too short for the creed. Enjoy your new bow and good luck w/ it.

Mathews has a terrific line of bows and I know the Creed will serve you well, GL.   Like you, I want a solid back wall.    Glad you're happy with it and GOOD LUCK!!

My story is similar... I have never been a Mathews person but my wife ordered a new Z7 extreme for herself and we went to pick it up and get it setup for her. The dealer asked me if I had ever shot the Z7 extreme. I told him no, that I was perfectly satisfied with my current bow. He kept insisting I shoot one so just to shut him up I did. 45 minutes later I was putting my new Z7 in my car alongside my wifes...  dang salesman..  LOL.

Hindsight? I love it. the best bow I have ever shot....  who knew? I guess my wife did...  ;D

Good to hear.  I won a Creed Saturday in a raffle at a popup archery shoot.  I am going to pick it up and get it set up Thursday after work.  I am really looking forward to it, it is a huge upgrade over the Parker I have been shooting for the last 6 years.

I always liked Mathews bows.   I shot a Conquest for a long time.  I've got a Hoyt now and it just doesn't have the same feel.
