It's early, but I'm starting to see more and more deer alongside the roadways in the evenings.   Was down at an old fishin' hole I haven't been to in quite a while and when I was leaving (about an hour before dark) I had a train go across the road in front of me!  6 bucks and a little one (probably a button) jumped the pipe-rail fence about 50 yds. from me.   Nice to see early movement already.  Everything happened early last year, too.

Around here the farmers are starting to get out in some fields. It tends to get the deer moving a little. The cooler temps we have right now Have them on the move also.

Same here, WV.   I figured that had something to do with it.   Days are gettin' shorter, too!

Sitting in a tree Monday, watching a pretty nice 6 pt. buck feeding along a pipeline on our place, and a very mature doe came sneaking in from behind me.  She pawed around in the leaves, nibbled a few limbs, and watched that buck the whole time.  After about 5 minutes, she slowly made her way out of the brush and eased up behind the buck and gave him a sniff.  When he turned and looked at her, she did the puppy dog "I wanna play" pose, gave a quick snort, and hightailed it down the pipeline.  The buck just stood and watched her.  No interest yet, but she looked mighty "playful".

Seeing bucks behind every doe in east Texas, but not much happening around home.  Still seeing mature bucks together.  Looks like we're between the seeking and chasing phase.   Only seen one shooter so far, and didn't get a shot at him.
