Food plots are not easy to maintain, lots of time and $ go into to them to keep the up. But in saying that I can tell you a couple of mine need attention and I do not have the time for them in the imediate future.  But every little bit helps. Good luck

Cut it ASAP and consider using a herbicide early next spring before the weeds take over. I fought that battle for years before I found spraying the right herbicide at the right time will save you quite a bit of frustration and produce a great plot.

Stay after it, gator!    That second growing season is right around the corner, when the cooler weather hits.    Might as well make a go of it after coming this far!    Good luck!!!

MY PLOTS ARE IN MIDDLE GA WHERE THEY HAVE BEEN ABOVE AVERAGE RAIN FALL SINCE LAST FEBRUARY. I MOWED LAST WEEK AND WE HAD OVER 10 IN THIS MONTH. SO IT WILL BE A JOB KEEPING THEM MOWED, AND NDER CONTROL.

I hear you Gator... my plots have turned to nothing but grass this year. I planted a mix that was supposed to be soy beans and some others that you "can't" mow. The grass and weeds consumed them and there wasn't much I could do.

I am learning more and more about not using "round-up ready" plants... there is a lot of history and story behind that, both politically and health-wise, that I won't get into, but there has to be a better way to control weeds.
