Turkey Road Hunting
« on: May 26, 2013, 07:24:31 PM »
How come it's always while you're cruising down the road without a gun you see your intended target. Hunted hard most of the season without any luck. Saturday I took all my hunting gear out of the vehicle and the family went for a ride. Cruising along a back road my daughter says dad look at those turkeys on that log road. Stop and check them out and they're all hens. Head down the road again, half a mile later a big gobbler is standing in the ditch beside the road. My daughter says that'll teach you to leave your gear home and laughs. It never fails to happen, never have a camera or gun with me when I need one.

I know the feeling...our season closed on May 15th. Went down to the hunting club Saturday to cut our clover plots and saw two long beards, oh well I know they are there!

That almost makes you want to laugh! (or cry!) That's also why there are turkeys around for next year!
