I use very few gadgets. For me it's the internet and warmer clothes.

For confidence...the rangefinder and like everything buy the best one you can afford.

For convenience...the internet for research, sharing, learning and reading (especially the satellite maps on
                         (Google...saves allot of time and money on various maps)

For comfort...the Thermocell and some of the newer tree stands. They have come along way in the past
                   several years...bigger, easier to use and safer.

For technology...the new equipment, specifically the bows are so much faster, flater shooting and deliver
                       more kinetic energy. Years ago the top of the line compund would lob an arrow into a
                       target at thirty yards while the newer ones shoot out to 50 or 60 yards and further.

I would have to say clothing. If your not warm (or cool for you guys down south) or dry you are not going to be in the woods long, and if your not in the woods it's really hard to kill something.
