Just got a Go Pro video camera
« on: May 10, 2013, 03:48:28 PM »
My hunting buddy just bought a Go Pro video camera and we took it to camp for opening day on May 1st. Went to camp the day before, tested it and decided to use the head band strap instead of mounting it to the gun. First light, I called in a nice Tom with a 10 inch beard and he displayed, gobbled and put on quite a show. When we got back to camp, we discovered that the memory disc he put in the camera did not work and/or was full. Just bought a new 16 gig made for the Go Pro and will do it again in the morning. Has any body else used this new micro video camera and how did it work for you. It seems to take excellent pictures in 1080 HD as long as you understand that you cannot zoom in on anything.

I done a lot of research on the Go Pro camera awhile back. They seemed to be top of the line and used by several movie producers. Reasonably priced too. It is a very interesting story how that company came to start.

I just got one from my wife for my birthday.  I haven't used it yet for anything other then just testing it, but it seems like it is gonna be awesome!  I read online that the 64GB card from Sandisk has problems with the formatting in Windows and Mac, and that in the camera itself it will sometimes not recognize the card.  I went and bought 2 32GB cards.  From what I read online they don't have the same issues.  I don't know why the 64 GB card doesn't work all the time but a majority of comments on the GoPro site said the same thing.  Good luck with the filming and I hope you get some epic footage!
