About 20yrs ago, right after we bought the property we live on....I put out a plain ole salt block from the local feed store for $4. I was shocked at the size of hole that the deer dug for more than a yr AFTER the block was gone. Now I just put a couple out in places after the spring rains are done. The rain dissolves it too fast for my liking so I wait. They tear the ground up no doubt....and its cheap!

If you want a hole dug use a bag of salt from Walmart or Costco. It basically the same as Trophy rock. (99%) salt.

I use a couple different products that are low salt and high in mineral and vitamins. If I had to choose one it would be the 30-06 Plus Proteen. Only 15% salt and my deer quality has improved for the past 4 years.

Best,

POP
