Official score was Gross 175" Net 158" B&C. My taxidermist scored him at 182 all 3 times he measured it. But he aint official.

I wish we had a scale because he was a huge deer.

i don't see 17" of deductions? ther must be something i'm missing? great deer. and yes, midwest bucks get a little bigger than southern deer.
Yari I was surprised by both the shrinkage and deductions myself.  I felt sure I made the B&C 2 year book but missed it by a couple of inches.  Here is another pic that shows how the deductions happened.  There are a couple of smaller points that got counted as 'G" points instead of kickers. And when you look across to the other side the difference between them and the opposite "G" point is huge.

Either way he is my prized possession.  It took me 33 years to get a buck like this and I'm very proud of him.

you should be very proud of that buck. they don't get that big of a score around my cabin. winters are too harsh and predators keep them on edge all year round. very nice buck
