This is a little late so I will have to play a little catch up.
We'll start with Thanksgiving weekend.

Thursday started awesome in that I was getting to fish on Thanksgiving day! It was a plus that I got to do it with my Dad and Cousin! We started the morning at 6am. There is nothing like watching the sun come up on the water. If you have never done it, put it on your bucket list! We had a great weekend and to sum most of it up, lets say, "Morning Bite". After about 1030am, go home! LOL
We ended up doing pretty good though. Had some very nice speckled trout up to 25" and some nice redfish. It wasn't easy, but well worth it! I'll post some pics later.

The next few days were the same story, morning bite and then nothing!

This past weekend was still the same story, catch them in the morning and go home....

The weather has been warmer than usual and the winter sweet spots have not yet taken off due to the warm water. My goal this year, as always, is a 30" Speckled Trout!

The bait of choice for me right now is a Black and Chartruese top water or a "Hot Chicken" Saltwater Assassin. These 2 baits a pretty much all I need right now! 2 secrets to fishing, "fish where the fish are" and "don't fix what ain't broke" LOL

The water this time of year is usaully fairly clear depending on the rain. Another thing, there are a lot of "fair weather" fishermen/women out there who won't fish in the winter, I love these people! The winter is the best time to look for BIG Trout!
