2012 journal for Zos41 and HG
« on: October 14, 2012, 07:21:07 AM »
HG and I went out about 6:30 to and stayed until 8:00.  Was about 40 degrees and raining so by than we were both wet.

HG did not see anything and I spooked 2 as I was working my way back to HG to call it a day. Thiunk if I had been a few minutes later they would have walked right onto HG.

Think they were both does, but did not see clear enough to be sure.  Even with rain gear on we were getting damp

@--0--0126  When out this AM and just before turning off the road about 1/2 mile from the house watched a group of at least 10 deer go back into the woods.

about 10 minutes later saw a small doe at about 120 yards (or so i thought), In an open field when I had measured the distance to several small brushes. After I shoot and she made 2 jumps into the brush line where she stopped and looked back for a second or 2, I realised that she was not where I had through. I paced off the distance to where she was when I shoot at a bit over 300 yards. @--0--0116  Not sign of blood (no surprise there) I also decided that she likely was not that small a doe  @--0--0127
