BP's 2012 Journal
« on: October 07, 2012, 09:01:10 AM »
Well the opening day of archery season for me here in Virginia was uneventful.  Too nice (and warm) out for the deer to be moving during legal shooting light.  I had two guests on my property for the opening day and they enjoyed themselves watching the squirrels and songbirds but did complain a little that me stands are located in trees with mast on them and the mast if falling.......one was in an oak tree one in a hickory.......I was located in a ground blind on the other side of the property.

Now that a cold front is moving through I hope to see more of the deer I keep seeing at night on my trail camera during legal shooting light!!!!!!

Well I'm sure it was nice to just be out. Now that the opener is out of the way and some cool weather coming in things should pick up...

Rain and high winds have forced me out of the stand earlier than I intended this morning....was windy enough that even the squirrels wee not moving.
