turkey season was a wet one now on to deer hunting in October

Yep, that's why I timed my Vacation from 11/2 - 11/11! Love to be in the woods during that time of year!

Dave, Saw two small bucks this past weekend cruising back and forth through the woods with their nose glued to the ground sniffing for some doe action...so that time is getting close...The big boys should be following suit right behind.  I read an article by Charles Alsheimer predicting best times to be in the woods for some great rut hunting in the Northeast to be between 10/28 - 11/12.  Good Luck

still getting photos of small bucks along side larger bucks and also does still with fawns feeding in the plots. still the rut should be starting anytime

This cold is helping ours some too. Finally seeing some real signs. Saw a buck along the road yesterday early am looked like he was in seek mode!  @--0--0105

just talked to my sister who says her neighbor observed in the field back of my sisters house (where I hunt) a buck mounting a Doe , it looks like the rut is on and with the observations yesterday.....its starting hot and heavy.
