I am also planning on developing a spot for camping. I have to contact the local power company to get them to drop me a meter box down for the hook up. This is the view from the soon to be camping area looks north towards the back of the property

Hunly I would also be interested in seeing how you went about forming the club. That would be great to see how you do it ground up. My problem is the guys that say they are interested in one breath, says they can't afford monthly dues in the next breath.

Russ I started out with a few guys that I knew that was very serious about starting a club that they had a hand in running and didnt want to be in clubs were they had little or no control over how things were done. I started this with four other guys that look at the management aspect of hunting not just going out and killing deer. We all agreed that we would enforce QDMA rules on this tract of land and if anyother people that wanted to join would have to abide by this also. Lay your ground rules out from the start. Search for fellow hunters that think the same way you do, or that can see what you are trying to build on the land. We dont do a monthly membership, but a one time yearly membership. I also put it in my rules that if you want to reserve your spot for the next hunting season that you have to have me at least 1/3 of your dues to me by the end of April each year. I also include when the work days are gonna be and the requirements of each member as it pertains to what we have to get done.

I also use our Georgia Outdoor News Forum and Magazine, the local and statewide hunting groups on Face Book in our area as a way to advertise the club. Building a website now for the club to be used as a tool to let people know what we are doing with the club and the direction we are taking it as far as improvements and quality of hunting.

Maybe this will help Russ. If any of you other guys wanna add to this feel free to do so, this is just my way of doing things.

Hunly, that sounds like an awesome well organized club...with the same concepts/goals that I have about hunting.  If I lived in the area I would definitely want to join.
